to stop feeling anger towards another for an injury or offense

Countless offenses, insults, injuries; wrongs done by others; wrongs done by me to myself; I strive to forgive everything. After surviving 8 surgical procedures, chemotherapy twice, radiation therapy, and life support twice, I have a new appreciation for how precious every day of life is. I choose not to waste an instant on past bitterness. I let it all go.

An eye for an eye, and the whole world would be blind. (Kahlil Gibran)

Why forgive? Because it’s in your best interest, for your peace of mind and positivity. Forgiving unburdens you.

There’s a reason they call it “carrying” a grudge. It’s deadweight, and you (not they) are the one carrying it. Set it down!
