At 7 a.m. on September 3, 2014, I got the call: the CT scan confirmed a pancreatic tumor. Later that day, watching my son Paul water skiing, silhouetted upon a glittering sunlit lake, I wondered: would I survive to see this again? How I appreciated that moment… and having stood at death’s door three times since, I appreciate every moment.
Appreciation invigorates you, and those around you. There are countless things in life to appreciate, if we just take the time:
